As I reflect on God’s unspeakable gift of eternal life through the death and resurrection of His Son, I am utterly undone by His love. My mind cannot begin to comprehend what He has done, or how or why. The paradox is not only in the cross, but in all aspects of His awesome salvation plan.
These thoughts inspired the poem below, which is a repost from April 2013. May all of you have a blessed Resurrection Sunday reflecting on the mysteries of His amazing grace! Praise God that Christ is risen indeed! Trust in Him and live forever!

Salvation’s Mysteries
Jesus Christ was born to die
Endured the cross to feel the joy
Of saving sinners who were lost.
Jesus served so we could reign
Jesus served so we could reign
Laid down His life to rise again.
Maker of all, the King of Kings
Maker of all, the King of Kings
A lowly worm crushed by our sins.
The cruel thorns, the ugly scars
The cruel thorns, the ugly scars
Reveal the beauty of His heart.
His blood-soaked cross made peace with God
His holiness removed our sins --
Washed white as snow in His shed blood
Reconciled our souls to Him.
He loved us despite our hate
He forgave while we rebelled
The Lord bowed down to take our shame
He gave all for our great gain.
His ways are not our ways.
His thoughts are not our thoughts.
If cast down, He will raise us up.
If we are last, we will be first.
We die to sin to be reborn
We lose our life to save our soul
We leave the world to live in Him
He died and rose so we can live.
Foolish things confound the wise
You can’t earn your way to Paradise.
Let Truth win out – think like a child.
Turn to Him – forsake your pride.
Trust in Him with childlike faith
Accept His precious gift of grace.
That moment seals your destiny.
You’ll live with Him eternally.

Lovely, true words Laurie,
there is no one like Him.
Thank God for Jesus, and the Holy Spirit our teacher.
God bless you and your family at this time.
Thank you so much, Brenda, for your continued encouragement. You are a great blessing. Praise God that Christ is risen; He will return; and His Spirit lives within us!
May you have a blessed Resurrection Sunday,
Laurie
Dear Laurie,
That was a poem rich with the truth of God's glory, love, and mercy.
I hope you have had a memorable Easter, and that for the rest of the year the Lord will keep speaking to you.
Much blessings.
Dear Frank,
I so much appreciate your kind comment and good wishes. We did have a truly memorable Easter, and I hope you and Alex did too! May God bless you richly for all you do to encourage others and to spread His Word,
Laurie
One wonders how much more the unsaved world would listen if more of those who claim to be Christians really understood and took what Christ did for us seriously. Hope you had a wonderful Easter.
True, Donald -- so many "Christians" are so in name only, following church or family traditions and not Jesus Christ Himself. Even those who are born again stumble and fall, let alone those who are not saved even though they belong to a church, so it is small wonder that the unsaved world thinks Christians are hypocrites and judge the messengers instead of the message.
Praise God, we had a wonderful Easter -- hope you did too!
God bless,
Laurie

Since I know you just read my testimony of my 10 years in new age churches, you know that this rings so strong in my heart and soul.
I am blessed that I followed you to your beautiful and powerful and Truth-filled poem.
Caring through Christ, ~ linda

Dear Linda,

Hi Sheila, It is a blessing to "meet" a sister in Christ who is devoted to knowing Him better, serving Him, and rejoicing in His love! Thanks so much for your encouraging comment and God bless!
Laurie
Thanks, Sheila! God is so good to allow us to continue in our dance ministry! We are blessed to have performed last night at Ruth Eckerd Hall, a large, beautiful theatre in the Tampa Bay area. Hope you and your husband start lessons -- it's loads of fun and great exercise, as well as being a beautiful picture of the marriage relationship (husband leads, wife submits because he loves her self-sacrificingly).
Beautiful poem! I also like the artwork of Christ that you chose for the post. Thank you for stopping by mamamuseme.wordpress.com. Hope you are having a great Thursday.
Thank you so much for your lovely comment! I'm blessed to hear you enjoyed the poem and artwork. May you have a blessed week in Him,
Laurie

That I would always keep faith like a child. Thank you for sharing this.
Lovely poem, Just thinking, it could make a good lyrics for a hymn.
Many Blessings Laurie

Amen, Yolanda -- it truly is beyond my comprehension how the Creator, Sustainer and Ruler of all could love me enough to suffer and die to save me, even when I was His enemy. Praise God for His amazing mercy, love and grace! Thanks so much for your visit and comment, and many blessings to you!
Laurie
Your poem does such a beautiful job of contrasting the mysteries of salvation - suffering and joy, dark and light, death and life ... so amazing, really, how God does that. Thanks for sharing at #ThreeWordWednesday.
Thanks, Kristin, for your lovely comment and for hosting! Praise God that in His infinite wisdom He knew what was needed to save us, and that His infinite love and power made salvation and eternal life available to all who trust Him!
God bless,
