Great point that people can be misled by not hearing a verse or passage in its entirety, as in Mark 16:16 being used to justify salvation by baptism rather than by faith alone.
God bless,
LaurieLaurie Colletthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10676088158113572565noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8901842915517693862.post-33695500439629696862017-06-29T08:33:06.048-07:002017-06-29T08:33:06.048-07:00Great post, Laurie.

Some of the most insidious false teachings are those which simply leave out some of what scriptures teach, because people do not realize something has been left out. Taking the time to study all the scritpures is critical to avoid such false doctrines. Satan himself was an angel of light, and his false teachers are often elegant, polished, eloquent and persuasive, leading many astray. May we know what we believe and stand up for it.
Thanks as always for sharing your insights. But although our enemy temps us in the flesh, I believe that his most dangerous weapon is through false teaching. History tells us that false doctrine has blighted the Christian faith for almost two millennia.
The worst thing about false doctrine is that it is so subtle that it sounds logical and solid, therefore deceiving a great many. One only has to look at the history of the Roman Catholic Church to prove this, along with any concept relating to salvation being probational rather than a free gift given by God's grace.
An excellent blog.
