There we see them sweeping along the skies! Then they rapidly increase till the whole firmament gathereth blackness and a dark shadow is cast upon the world; we foresee the coming storm, and we tremble at the mountains of cloud, for they are great. Great things are they? Nay, they are only the dust of God's feet. http://www.spurgeon.org/sermons/0036.phpArithahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12580084913655106441noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8901842915517693862.post-64740913662068823022017-02-27T11:38:56.982-08:002017-02-27T11:38:56.982-08:00Thanks, Donald, for your encouragement! As you pointed out, while the clouds may seem unimportant, the play a vital role in life on earth. Much like the Israelites who begged for quail, then got sick as they gorged themselves. Here in Britain, our cool temperate climate has brought the art of talking about the weather into the heart of our culture, often as a good way to start a conversation between strangers or acquaintances. The subject of the weather is even a way to express a greeting whilst passing by an acquaintance on the street. We have a way of reasoning here: If there is a drought, we cry for rain to replenish our gardens and farms, as well as our tap water supply. But the moment its starts raining, so the moaning return for the want of sunshine!
Thank goodness the grace of God overrides our national attitude, as you say, that he sends rain on both the just and on to the unjust.
An excellent post. I had this dream for several years for many nights constantly, along with another dream.
Now that I have been born again I understand what it means to me, as the clouds represent many things, such as supplying rain and also blocking the sun. However, when we are born again we are as eagles which can be on the earth waiting upon the Lord, but can also rise above the clouds to be in the presence of the sun. I love how everything God has created can speak spiritually to us.
God bless you Laurie, I enjoyed reading your post.Brendahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16165344093549650260noreply@blogger.com
