We don't always know what wil happen and we can spend far too much to insure against unlikely events. On the other hand certain things are likely to happen and it is silly not to plan for them. Death is one of those sure things, and it is foolish not to prepare in advance.Donald Fishgrabhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11977970195032209188noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8901842915517693862.post-61678873861901624422019-02-10T17:15:22.537-08:002019-02-10T17:15:22.537-08:00Dear Frank,

Praise the Lord that He insures us fully and completely, and that no one can pluck us from His hand. But as you say, being saved is so much more than just having an escape from hell -- it is the beginning of an amazing, eternal relationship with our Creator and Savior.
Thanks as always for sharing your thoughts and experience, and God bless,
LaurieLaurie Colletthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10676088158113572565noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8901842915517693862.post-24141935182558288152019-02-10T17:00:07.161-08:002019-02-10T17:00:07.161-08:00Hi Brenda,

Our cruise to Cuba was wonderful -- someplace we had always wanted to go, and this was our first time there, although we have enjoyed several cruises before. Thanks as always for your comment, and God bless,
LaurieLaurie Colletthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10676088158113572565noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8901842915517693862.post-41185076788061002072019-02-10T16:59:34.273-08:002019-02-10T16:59:34.273-08:00This comment has been removed by the author.Laurie Colletthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10676088158113572565noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8901842915517693862.post-59429540641439591522019-02-10T08:09:49.842-08:002019-02-10T08:09:49.842-08:00Dear Laurie,

That was in 2013 after we booked our 14th Anniversary trip to Crete. About three months before we were meant to take off, Alex's back went, a victim of some incurable neurotic illness, as we later found out, later confining her to a wheelchair whenever we're outdoors.
Alex spent four months in hospital as an inpatient, a length of time within we should have left for Crete. In other words, instead of heading for the airport, I made my way to the hospital ward to be at her bedside. I felt gutted.
We made a successful claim on the insurance, although when considering the excess, we received considerably less than what we initially paid out.
As you say, having faith in Jesus Christ as Saviour is the best "insurance policy" anyone can make. However, a desire to get to know my Maker and Life-giver is worth more than merely wanting to escape from Hell.
An excellent post, God bless.Frank E. I don't know of any other insurance that can give us eternal life, and the lovely thing is that Jesus has already paid the price of that insurance. Lovely to hear of your anniversary cruise to Cuba. We have always loved travelling by sea, and have never suffered sea sickness even though some of the journeys were four and a half weeks long, to Australia. When we were on a Russian ship people were given boiled rice for sea sickness, and it worked for nearly all of them.Brendahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16165344093549650260noreply@blogger.com
